      Originally discovered in the fabled Spice Islands, we carefully select fragrant Nutmeg nuts to dry and grind for use in this convenient shaker. Ground Nutmeg is a traditional favorite in home baking and is especially complementary in sweet breads, cakes, muffins, cookies and fruit pies. Add to creamy soups, pasta, vegetable sauces and eggnog. Warm and aromatic with hints of clove, nutmeg's distinctive flavor can enhance a variety of sweet or savory dishes. We source our Spice Islands ground nutmeg from the East and West Indies. High in volatile oil content, it’s cryogenically ground to preserve its flavor compounds. The result is a ground nutmeg that very closely matches the flavor of the whole spice.
